Studio Shots #7: One Strobe !

The Craft
Things got real crafty on my living room floor tonight! I have a shoot for my “Eggness” assignment tomorrow (I’ll explain later) at Volunteer Park, so I ended up making face crowns out of pipe cleaners and homemade filters made with seran wrap and vaseline (thanks for the tip Joe!) along with glued cracked egg shells. Oh man, if you only knew all the random little trinkets...

Studio Shots #6: 4x5 Butterfly Lighting
Last week we were given an assignment to shoot a portrait using the “Butterfly Lighting” scheme (look at the “butterfly” shadow under her nose…) with the 4x5 cameras.  Here’s my final image. I’m pretty happy with it but it looks like I still have some work to do with my focusing before I can achieve that beautiful crispy crispiness that 4x5 is capable...

Studio Shots #5: Reflective Product Shot
Here’s my final image for a Reflective Product assignment at school, where we were supposed to shoot something reflective (duh) using one studio light. Feeling (Window) Light
