So the two fine ladies that make up Hoot and Howl got robbed in Fremont yesterday and are now sans-DJ computer and money! If you like good music and people who help you get down, help a couple sistas out! Here’s how! Come to Havana tonight where they usually DJ to help shake the blues and give support!
Also, I don’t know why I went so bananas making this image, but I had fun doing it haha Now off to do schoolwork so I can dance tonight!
Meet my friend Elizabeth Rudge. She is the bombshell fellow lady photographer (left) who I am roadtripping down to LA with in July for three weeks to accomplish our internship dreams. She is the Razzle (Rudge) to my Dazzle (Daneshmandi)! This is us laying in the sun at Cal Anderson Park giving you our “Do you have an appointment?” face. We have big plans, stay tuned :-)
Despite yesterday’s treacherous downpour and overall dumb weather, we had a much less menacing and sunny day here in Seattle! My class also got its wedding photography on and shot models for fake wedding and engagement photos. Each person in the class had 3 minutes with three different groups of models. It was a challenge, but now I feel like I could start mustering up the cohones to shoot a wedding when the time comes! :)
gee thanks! haha im actually not located in new york, im here in seattle but will be in new york in september (hopefully with an internship) staying with some friends in brooklyn! where are you transferring to? we should meet up and shoot when i get over there haha:D

Today I made a big mistake. I was going to call a photographer in New York and before I did, I looked over the email I had sent him. Only to find I sent the wrong cover letter to him. Miserable. Horrible. Probably the worst thing I could do. Threw flour at a friends face, took beautiful pictures and tomorrow I will be Queen Of Damage Control. Today’s lessons learned: Shit happens. And flour hangs beautifully in midair.
Went out and boogied legally last night! So much good 90s hip hop my body couldnt handle it! Bellingham, stay put! We’re about to get all sunshiney and shiiiii :D

A sneak peak of my latest portrait session with my new found friend Mario Franck who will be moving to New York soon. The minute I saw him, I thought “Oh my, who is that man walking the halls of my school? I must photograph him!” Luckily, he’s a friend of my dear friend Elizabeth, and has actually been living in my apartment building this entire time. Good things are happenin’ guys! Today the sun came out in Seattle! Would you believe? I also finally Skyped/virtually met Sarah St. Clair Renard the fashion photographer I will be interning with in L.A. for 3 weeks in July! I’m really excited for the experience! My dear friend Elizabeth Rudge and I (she’s Razzle, I’m Dazzle) will be roadtrippin’ down to sunny warmth/L.A. and it’s probably going to be one of the best summers I will have had thus far. I might even be living at Tom Irwin’s house. I don’t know.

Been meaning to post these for a while now. A big thank you to these two beauties for helping me make these images happen. I’ll say it once, I’ll say it again! A photograph is the result of a complete collaboration between the subject and the photographer and if I didn’t have such amazing people willing to be explore and be a part of my ideas I wouldn’t have the images I have now.
